Compass Point (Chinese: 勘宝坊) was a suburban shopping mall located in the town centre of Sengkang New Town, Singapore. The mall was built as an integrated development together with a condominium, Compass Heights which is located above the mall. It officially opened on August 1, 2002.〔 The mall was temporarily closed from 26 October 2015 for upgrading works, and is expected to re-open by the end of 2016 under a new name. ==History== Compass Point was built as an integrated development together with the adjacent Sengkang MRT/LRT station and Compass Heights condominium. Constructed at a cost of S$230 million, the shopping mall started operations in August 2002. The shopping centre was the first major mall to open on the North East Line.〔 On June 19, 2015, it was announced that Metro, one of the mall's anchor tenant, will be closing it's 12 years old outlet in the mall due to the challenging retail scene in Singapore.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Metro to close Sengkang outlet after 12 years )〕
